Growzen™ AR is an external/public use mobile application which is a digitized version of the easypod® s Instructions For Use. It provides instructions and details on how to properly administer treatment using the easypod® device.

Growzen™ AR serves as a tool for patients to get an in depth look at the steps of the injection process using AR technology for an immersive learning experience to address and reduce issues caused by user error. The app also helps healthcare providers to address questions patients or caregivers may have after in-person training and to provide support in between office visits.

1. On-boarding with Barcode Scan
The first-time user launches app, they will go through an “on-boarding” process. First user will be given the option to select their preferred language. After language is selected, user will need to read through the Terms and Conditions and accept them to move forward. Then there are a series of cards which give a brief explanation of what the app is about. That is followed by a message to scan their easypod®; user must scan (or manually enter) barcode on the back of their easypod® to gain access to all the content. Scanning ensures those who download the app are current patients, without a valid barcode app content is restricted.

2. Home Screen
Once user’s barcode is verified, they are directed to the “Home Screen”. Here the user will find a place where they can navigate to all the features the app has to offer. First time users will go through a guided tour of the app and all its features and where to find them.

3. Modules
On the “Home Screen” user will find nine modules where the majority of the learning content is found. The first five modules (Getting to know your easypod®, Preparing for your injection, Attaching the needle, Taking your injection, and Detaching the needle) leverage AR to teach the core steps of the injection process. The remaining four modules contain useful information on how to care for their easypod®, transfer data, and other tips. Each module consists of a tutorial followed by a quiz portion.

4. Zen and Free Play
As the user completes modules they will earn coins based on their performance in the quizzes. Users can then use those coins to play with the app character Zen in Free Play which appears in AR. The coins can be used to buy accessories to dress Zen up as well as for changing his colors.

4.1. Cover Selector
In Free Play when users switch the toggle found in the top center, will have the ability to change the fascia on their virtual easypod®. The easypod® will have free rotation so that user can view the front and back of easypod®. Also, the faceplate that is selected will appear in the modules where the virtual easypod® appears as well as in “Demo Mode”.

5. App Settings Menu
In the top left corner users can find the “App Settings Menu”. When the hamburger button is tapped menu will open up to show Demo Mode, Sound, and Language.

5.1. Demo Mode
“Demo Mode” is a feature that strings together the set of hand animations which show the three easy steps of the injection process. This can be used as a tool by healthcare providers to show patients during their office visits.

5.2 . Sound
User can find the setting to “Sound” and switch it On/Off.

5.3 Language
This setting allows the user to change the language of the app.

6. App Help
